UNDER TEN HURLING
John Lockes u10 hurling team reached the final of last week’s hurling tournament held in Mullinahone, They played three group games against Carrick swans, Ballingarry and St Pats winning two out of three .This set them up against the hosts Mullinahone in the semi final and after full time nothing separated the teams so 10 minutes of extra time was played and Adam Foran got all important score to put Callan boys through to final to face Ballingarry who defeated Fermoy in their semi final clash.
The final was a great clash with Callan and Ballingarry trading scores at half time just one score separated the sides, alas the extra ten minutes played in the semi-final began to show and callan boys just couldn't get the breaks that were needed and with fresher players Ballingarry sealed the deal with two minutes to go it was a score to break the callan boys hearts this was great performance from all players involved, Thanks to all parents for your great support and be sure its not last final that this team will contest,
