Gone Hurling mad.
Its certainly a busy weekend ahead for three John Lockes teams. All enter into the games as total underdogs. The minor team take on a very strong Bennetsbridge team in the Minor championship on Friday evening. The Lockes are not fancied in this but these lads will give their all and under the direction of the die hard John O'Neill whos blood is coloured Saffron and Blue the Minors will not be easily beaten. On Saturday the U-14 team take on the mighty O'Loughlin Gaels in the County 'A' final. It is a wonderful achievement for this team, but without Robert Kerwick who suffered a broken coller bone against Dicksboro last Saturday their cause may be weakened. We wish them well and what ever happens, you are a great bunch of lads.
Sunday at High Noon the Lockes Intermrediate team take on Danesfort in the Quarter Final. Its the making of a wonderful clash and the Lockes lads will really be looking forward to the challenge. Again the Lockes would be underdogs, well we only came from junior last year so so no big expectations and no pressure. all the pressure is on Danesfort who have to perform. High Noon in Palmerstown, dont miss it.
