Come and "Rock the Boat" folks
Next Sunday the 5th of August could well write the town of Callan into Guinness Book of Records history when at least 1,500 people will attempt to "Rock the Boat" at the Abbey Meadow starting at around 3pm. It is going to be a wonderful day at the Abbey, with loads of stalls, games a train and inflatable slides. Earlier in the day the John Lockes Juvenile tournament will take place at the CBS grounds and later all the prizes and goody bags will be presented prior to the "Rock the Boat". So get down to the Abbey Meadow and Rock the Boat Baby. Proceeds of the event will go to Crumlin's Childrens hospital.The event will be jointly hosted by the Abhainn Ri Festival and John Lockes GAA club.
