TIMBER AUCTION
The club’s 2nd annual Timber Auction is fast approaching and will be held this year on Sunday December 2nd at the Fair Green Callan at 12 noon so as to facilitate those people exiting from Sunday mass to stop off purchase their timber and then head over to the L’Arche annual open day at their centre at Green lane. Over the past couple of months there has been dozens of guys giving their all for the John Lockes in cutting and preparing timber and a big thanks goes to Jim Lynch for organising so many from the farming community. Sean Hogan and Jimmy Corcoran have been the driving force over those few months also and have given up their time each weekend to cut timber. They are true dedicated Lockes men and have also towed trailers of timber all over the country in the cause of raising money for the John Lockes.
