Upcoming Fundraising Events
The John Lockes Club will continue to be active in the coming months in their efforts to raise funds towards the wonderful new facilities in John Locke Park. The Club are mainly dependant on the people in our own Parish and to those people we are turning in the shape of a Parish Collection. A member of the club will call to each house in the Parish with information on the various ways householders can help us with our fundraising. The Club acknowledges the times of austerity in which we are living but this is a community effort of which we hope we can be proud to pass on for generations to come. We would ask you to give our members a hearing on your doorstep and if at all possible you can help us out we would be most grateful.
Club Field Day The club will hold its second annual Field Day on Sunday June 2nd in John Locke Park. It promises to be a fun filled day with plenty of sideshows, bouncy castles, a sports day, Football games, a dog show, Barbecue, tea tent and a raffle for trailer loads of timber. Something for all the family and a chance for the public to view the new facilities in our clubrooms
