U-14 Footballers secure first win
John Lockes Under 14 Football
Last Sunday the John Lockes U14s chalked up their first win of the season after two unproductive days out they turned in a marvellous performance to beat a fancied St. Lachtains team. The Lockes men went about their business from the throw-in. With Daniel Power, Evan Doyle and Colm Nolan in the full back line and the half back line of Cathal Griffin, Jack Roche and man of the match Kevin Burns nothing passed without a fight and they were well backed up by Michael Power in goal. The midfield of Josh Doheny and Luke Walsh (Cpt) were solid all through and lent great support to the half forward line of Michael Prendergast, Darragh Bergin and Ciaran Phelan. The full forward line of James Shirley, Adam Crowe and Jer Power worked tirelessly from the start. They are now in the quarter final of the U14 shield.
