Ladies Football AGM
The ladies football A.G.M. took place at the weekend and a good attendance of players turned up to review the first year of competition and to plan the year ahead. Chairman Bosco Bryan thanked all who had helped the club during the year and Davy Kelly and Kieran Lanigan in particular for having pitches prepared for games all year. He complimented the ladies who had secured the eleven a side Carlow/Kilkenny junior title in their first year and he expressed the hope that the panel would stay together to have a crack at the Junior League and county championship for 2015. He thanked Majella Phelan for her work during the year organising the weekly team lotto and she hoped that the club might be able to secure a sponsor for the coming year to help in providing a new set of jerseys for the Ladies team.
The hope was expressed at the meeting that at some stage in the future a juvenile section could be established in the club but this will take significant input from interested parents and for the moment the club remains with just an adult team.
Training commences next Friday night February 13th at 7.30pm and all are welcome especially any new members.
Officers Elected: Chairman Bosco Bryan, Secretary: Majella Phelan, Treasurer Paddy Phelan, Committee Lynn Beirne and Jemma Komar.
