The Stuff of Dreams
Did we ever think in out life time that a John Lockes adult team would ever grace the famous turf of Croke Park. The Lockes jersey has been there before with a number of our juvenile teams having the privilage of playing games there, but an All-Ireland club final is a different matter altogether. Well it happens on Sunday February 13th 2011, remember that date because it will be the greatest day in the club's history. Who would have thought when the club were relegated two years ago, that we would now be playing in an All-Ireland club final. It has been a wonderful journey for the team, mentors, club officials and above all a wonderful loyal band of supporters. The support the Lockes have received has been just so heartening and again in Mullingar last Sunday they turned out in their hundreds. We have enjoyed the journey and walking down Jones Road on Sunday 13th February with our Lockes jackets and Jerseys will certainly bring a slight tear to our eyes. G'wan d'Lockes!!!
