The one that got Away

The Game against Young Irelands of Gowran can be looked back on as one that got away. The Lockes were the better hurling team but were not clinical enough in front of goal which proved their downfall at Thomastown when the Lockes suffered defeat 1-10 to 0-11. Physically the Gowran men out muscled the Lockes but overall it was a game that should have produced at least a point. But hopefully this can be looked on as a once off and the team have three weeks to regroup for the Conahy Shamrocks game. Its three years since we last played the Jenkinstown men and on that occasion the Lockes suffered a heavy defeat so that memory will hopefully be a motivating factor to driving on for a win. John O'Neill and J.P.Corcoran will available again for this game and their experience will be certainly welcome.
